This is my first track with Ed and I’m so happy it’s a Christmas song! I called Ed on Christmas Day 2021 to wish him happy holidays and ask if he’d like to do a Christmas single with me and now here we are! It has been so much fun to make this song with such a close friend and the music video was an absolute blast to film: Pastiches of some of the best Christmas songs out there and Ed dressed up as Mariah Carey – what more could you want!?
As well as bringing a lot of festive cheer, I’m so pleased that all royalties and profits during the 2021 Christmas period will be split between Ed’s Suffolk Music Foundation and the Elton John AIDS Foundation. Two organisations very close to our hearts. Wishing everyone happy holidays however you celebrate and all the best for the new year!
